The Friends of the Story Mansion is dedicated to preserving Bozeman’s historic landmark as a thriving educational, cultural and social center, while enhancing community and economic vitality.  We host annual events at the mansion open to the public, such as Story Under the Stars, Witches Night, and our elegant Victorian Holiday Tea. We envision a fully restored mansion and carriage house for year-round events that build community connection as we raise awareness of the possibilities for restoration for reuse of our nationally recognized landmark.

Story Under the Stars

Join Friends of the Story Mansion and the Bozeman Film Society as we taem up for an event that has become a local summertime favorite. Each year we bring a movie to the big screen, offer tours of the mansion, and have snacks and activities in the lawn. Bring your picnic blankets, folding chairs and a smile. The event is always free and open to all.

Witches Night

Join us on Halloween each year for a night of frights, treats, ghouls, animatronics, and witches haunting the Mansion’s grounds! Kids of all ages are welcome to visit and interact with members of the Friends of Story Mansion, all decked out in witch costumes. Festivities start in the late afternoon for the young ones, and continue well past dark for those who prefer to haunt at nighttime. Be there and be scared!

Victorian Holiday Tea

Be transported in time and experience the grandeur of Bozeman’s historic Story Mansion at our annual Victorian Holiday Tea.
